The Power of Accessibility: How Innovate Trust is Advocating for Global Change

Imagine a world where technology is within reach for everyone. At Innovate Trust, our charity’s mission is to turn this into reality.

This Global Accessibility Awareness Day, we are looking at our journey to digital accessibility and inclusion. By developing adaptive open-source mainstream devices and using artificial intelligence, our dedicated Digital Inclusion and Innovations team advocates for global accessibility by working directly with people with disabilities to adapt the technology to their specific needs.

What is Global Accessibility Awareness Day?

With a focus on accessibility, Global Accessibility Awareness Day is celebrated every third Thursday in May. This year, on May 18th, we invite you to join us in raising awareness and advocating for inclusivity.

What does accessibility mean?

Every user deserves a first-rate digital experience on the web. Someone with a disability must be able to experience web-based services, content and other digital products with the same successful outcome as those without disabilities. This awareness and commitment to inclusion is the goal of Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), a global event that shines a light on digital access and inclusion for people with disabilities.

Putting people first

We believe that true accessibility begins with understanding each person’s unique needs. That is why we work closely with adults with disabilities to adapt technology to their specific needs. Through groundbreaking products like eye-tracking devices, wearable prompts powered by AI, and specially designed laptop mice, we empower individuals with a range of disabilities and needs to control computers and devices with ease. As a result, people can become more independent in their daily life.

Our dedication to accessibility

Our team developed Insight, a groundbreaking social media app designed to benefit Disabled people. Insight is a lively hub people can connect, share their experiences and stories, and access a valuable resources related to accessibility and technology. Additionally, members can explore a wide range of online activities, bringing entertainment and enjoyment to their screens.

At Innovate Trust we aim to be at the forefront of collaborative assistive technology projects. Furthermore, our talented digital team has crafted smart houses equipped with accessible features, like voice-activated lights and sensors. These incredible additions make daily life easier and more accessible for everyone. By using advanced technology in our smart houses, we ensure that people with disabilities can easily interact with their surroundings and enjoy an accessible home environment.

But that’s not all…

We have recently launched a brand-new easy to navigate website that received an accessibility score of 100 from Google Lighthouse. Our website reflects our commitment to making accessibility a priority in every digital experience. From the moment you land on our homepage, we greet our audience with a user-friendly interface that offers navigation with easy and simplicity. We are careful to ensure that everyone can easily explore and engage with our content. You will also find a call to action that invites you to learn more about our charity’s initiatives, projects, and groundbreaking innovations.

Through the power of adaptive devices and our commitment to advancing artificial intelligence, we are revolutionizing accessibility in technology. Our mission is to break down barriers and open doors to a world where everyone can fully participate and thrive.
