Heath allotment
Since April 2021, Innovate Trust have been working in partnership with Cardiff City Council to develop a community allotment at the Heath Allotment site in Roath.
It has been a fantastic opportunity for our volunteers to be part of a project with big results and hard work. A chance to learn new skills, develop a space from scratch and see everything really come to life.
About our allotment
The site has been made as accessible as possible, and with so much to do, activities and jobs have been available to support individuals with wide range of support needs. There are sensory elements to as many aspects of the allotment as possible, and there’s been such a success with growing produce, there has been plenty enough for everyone to take some home.
Different parts of the site would be suitable for individuals with a wide range of support needs.

- There would a mix of horticultural and wild areas.
- There was a sensory element to as many aspects of the allotment as possible.
