I started going to the Secret Garden in December 2022 after signing up and showing interest the project. I love St Fagans and its history.

The garden, run by Innovate Trust, are Monday 10.30am – 1.30pm and Wednesday 12.30pm – 3.30pm. It is a nice sized garden and very nice volunteers there as well.

I enjoy being there and I am willing to try all jobs there. I’ve done the raking leaves, weeding, general tidying things. I seem to get on well with the group. On Monday 23rd January, I had great fun breaking the ice in the pond as it was solid ice. I did this so wildlife could get to the water.

I like to learn new experiences, new tasks. Recently, a robin came to see us which was lovely. We have had some very cold weather lately but I am looking forward to spring. It is a very friendly environment and you can learn new skills too.
