Stress management in the workplace

stress in the workplace?

Listen to the article

Managing stress in a demanding career isn’t always easy, but it doesn’t have to be hard.

Stress is a normal reaction to everyday challenges, but too much can affect your health.

At Innovate Trust, we understand the importance of achieving a healthy work-life balance.

That’s why we foster a supportive environment that empowers you to excel professionally, while prioritising your mental and emotional health.

Discover the resources and support structures we offer to help you manage stress, cultivate a healthy work-life balance, and thrive in your career at Innovate Trust.

So what is stress? How can you identify it?

The World Health Organization define stress as “any type of change that causes physical, emotional, or psychological strain. Stress is your body’s response to anything that requires attention or action.”

Although individuals may respond differently, stress is something everyone experiences. Stress can be caused by factors in or out of work.

The Health and Safety Executive has identified six areas that, if not managed appropriately, can lead to work-related stress:

  1. Demands
  2. Control
  3. Support
  4. Relationships
  5. Role
  6. Change

We understand that work can sometimes be demanding, which is why we offer resources and support to help you manage stress and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

We recognise that even in a supportive environment, demanding situations can arise.

At Innovate Trust, we are committed to providing you with the tools you need to manage stress effectively.

Through our user-friendly Digital Platform, as an employee you will have access to a variety of resources, including helpful guides on communication and stress management techniques.

We also partner with leading mental health organisations to provide valuable resources and support to our teams.

Building a supportive environment

A supportive work environment is essential. We believe your career should not compromise collaboration and open communication.

We go beyond resources to create a supportive work environment.

Through various initiatives, such as employee-led networks and occupational health referrals, we foster a sense of community and collaboration, ensuring employees feel valued and comfortable seeking help when needed.
