Innovate Trust was set up by a group of Student Volunteers in 1967, who went on to open the UK’s first supported living home on 13th July 1974. To celebrate 50 years of supporting people we have got lots of exciting things going on this year. This week we hosted an anniversary celebration event for the people we support and their families in Cardiff. Over 130 people attended the celebration at Whitchurch Rugby Club. The event started with an introduction by Nick French, our CEO, we then watched a video of how things have changed over the years, we then got to hear from Heritage project volunteers and people supported by Innovate Trust, finally the night ended with a disco and buffet. Thank you all for coming and supporting us over the years, we hope to see you all at our 100th anniversary celebration in 2067.
