What we do at Take Charge

Group carrying a tree at a Take Charge Activity

Take Charge is funded by the WCVA’s ESF Active Inclusion Fund. It is open to anyone over the age of 25 who has a learning disability or a work-limiting health condition and is not currently working. We support participants to gain new skills, to improve their confidence and to move towards volunteer roles. We support further learning by offering:

  • Outdoor volunteering sessions at Saint Fagans
  • Accredited Health and Safety training
  • Practical team work sessions
  • Heartstart First Aid Training
  • Fun confidence building activities
  • Group travel training
  • Accredited Agored qualifications on Conduct at Work, Customer Service and Overcoming Barriers to Work
  • Equal Opportunities training
  • Opportunities to learn about sustainable living & road safety
  • Tailored support to find new volunteering opportunities
  • Helping to plan and deliver events

If you or somebody you know is interested in joining the project, call the Take Charge team on 02920 382151 or email TakeCharge@innovate-trust.org.uk.
