Within the grounds of St Fagans National History Museum lies a hidden gem – Ysgubor Fawr’s Secret Garden.

This charming cottage garden has a secret history waiting to be discovered. This summer, our Secret Garden History Project invites you to delve into the garden’s captivating past.

The Secret Garden History Project is a dedicated research initiative exploring the story behind Ysgubor Fawr’s enchanting garden. Throughout the summer, the project will be hosting a series of events at the Museum, offering a unique opportunity to:

  • Experience the beauty of the Secret Garden: Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the garden and appreciate its unique charm.
  • Learn about the garden’s fascinating history: Discover the origins of Ysgubor Fawr’s Secret Garden, its past inhabitants, and how it has evolved over time.
  • Celebrate the work of our volunteers: Meet the dedicated volunteers who are bringing the Secret Garden’s history to life through their research and meticulous care of the garden.

All at Museum Atrium (main entrance) 10am to 5pm.
