The annual Understanding Disability Awards, hosted by Cardiff and the Vale Parents’ Federation, is always a special occasion.

This year, we were honored to have 3 of our own recognised for their outstanding work and remarkable contributions in our community!

  • Fallon Micallef, Assistant Manager of our Respite and Emergency Accommodation Service, received a Certificate of Recognition Award and Trustees Award for her hard word and dedication to people with learning disabilities and specific needs.
  • Kath Jones, Participation Officer, received a Highly Commended award for her brilliant work in supporting people with specific needs.
  • And finally, Mark Tierney received his own Highly Commended award for his work with Vale People First!

We are incredibly proud of Fallon, Kath, and Mark, and everyone whose hard work and commitment makes an incredible difference in the lives of our communities.

What a great day of well deserved recognition for everyone!

Thank you to Cardiff and The Vale’s Parent’s Federation for hosting such a wonderful Understanding Disability Awards.
