Digital Essential
Skills
Our Digital Essential Skills training upskills Innovate Trust employees, providing skills and confidence to access the internet and engage with technology.
In partnership with Digital Communities Wales, we promote a 6-week comprehensive course focusing on the Essential Digital Skills Framework.

About the Digital Essential Skills course
The digital essential skills project has been designed to provide a training model for team members who can be upskilled to support and mentor colleagues across Innovate Trust.
The 6-week course is designed for employees that are digitally confident, with a keen interest in using digital technology in their working environment.
The training focuses on people’s ability to use the course material to pass on their understanding to colleagues, providing opportunities to explore new ways of implementing digital technology across Innovate Trust.
59 percent of people with a disability or long-term condition use the internet.*
People with disabilities may require help identifying appropriate assistive technologies.

Week 1: Introduction
Week 2: Online communication

Digital skills in our communities
Innovate Trust has worked closely with Cardiff and the Vale local authority to introduce digital solutions across the health and social care sector.
Facilitated by our partners at Digital Communities Wales, we look to assist Social Workers and Support Planners in our communities to utilise their digital skills and to support vulnerable adults to be better digitally included.
