Act Now for Equality

Act Now for Equality! is a joint project between Innovate Trust and Skills & Volunteering Cymru running until October 2022. The project brings adults with learning disabilities and community volunteers together to explore the themes of equality, diversity and inclusion.

About the project

Act Now for Equality! brings adults with learning disabilities and community volunteers together to learn about equality, diversity and inclusion through a mix of training courses, creative workshops and practical activities. Project participants will work together to explore these important themes but also create their own training sessions to deliver to their peers. Project participants will also get the opportunity to take part in the creation of an educational film about equality, diversity and inclusion and what it means to them.
  • Training courses about the Equality Act and the 9 Protected Characteristics
  • Creative workshops following project themes
  • Equality and diversity-themed walks and community visits
  • Opportunity to be involved in making a film about equality, diversity and inclusion
