We are delighted to spotlight our wonderful nature-based project, Restore the Thaw.

This project aims to provide meaningful volunteering opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and mental health support needs, while also enhancing the biodiversity along the River Thaw in the Vale of Glamorgan.

The River Thaw, which flows for 12 miles through the Vale of Glamorgan, begins near Llanharry, passes through Cowbridge, and reaches the sea at Aberthaw.

Once a much wider river, the Thaw historically supported a diverse range of wildlife and plant life.

This new project seeks to restore the natural habitat of the river, fostering an environment where biodiversity can thrive once again.
