Rebecca’s Take Charge Story

Rebecca from Take Charge

My name is Rebecca and I live on Newport Road in Adamsdown. I have lived there for two years; before that I lived with my parents.

I went to Woodlands High School and Riverbank Primary in Ely; then I went to Coleg Glan Hafren. I learned cooking, maths, English, gardening, science, and art, and I helped in the café. There was a library there and lots of stairs! I went on trips to Bristol on the bus, Swansea, Castell Coch and Storey Arms. I left in 2013.

After I left college I spent time with my brother and sister. My brother is 30 this year and he is a Liverpool fan.

Since then I have been with Take Charge. I have learned about healthy food, done a quiz trail, made a collage of faces to learn about confidence, arranged flowers at St Fagans, and done first aid, health and safety, fire buddy, and know your rights training.

It makes me relaxed and happy to do activities and learn new things. I’ve made lots of new friends including one of my best friends. I’m going to be doing arts and crafts at Llanover hall in May and I want to learn more about computers.
