The rain may have poured outside, but inside Innovate Trust’s Vale of Glamorgan teams and supported individuals, the atmosphere was anything but damp. This year, Innovate Trust’s annual BBQ made a comeback, with one exception – we moved the annual BBQ indoors and had an absolute ball!
Despite the weather, our the BBQ was a big success, filled with laughter, fun, and a touch of sadness as we bid farewell to two beloved colleagues.
The day was packed with activities. From face painting and games to an up-close encounter with snakes, guinea pigs, mice, and tortoises from The Nearly Wild Show, there was something for everyone.
The party came alive with non-stop karaoke requests, dancing to DJ sets, and enjoying live music from Cardiff’s own, Francesca Dimech.
One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity for the team to soak their favorite managers in the stocks. This playful tradition provided plenty of laughs and entertainment for everyone.
In addition to all the fun and games, the event also served as a bittersweet occasion to say goodbye to two retiring team members, Annabelle Dee and Guy Newman. The emotional farewells were a testament to the positive impact they have made on their colleagues at Innovate Trust, supported individuals, and the community over the years.
The success of the event was largely due to the hard work and dedication of the teams involved in organising the event, namely Jon Courtney and Zoe Mouti. With an abundance of food and drink, they ensured that everyone had a wonderful time. The indoor BBQ was a memorable day that will be cherished by all who attended.
