Congratulations to all the winners from yesterday’s Understanding Disability Awards 2025 from The Parents Federation.
What a wonderful, uplifting celebration of the impact thoughtful, caring people and organisation have on the members of our community who need it the most.
We are so proud to congratulate Innovate Trust’s very own Mared Hughes from Skill and Wellbeing and our friends, the joyous Shiny Happy People who both won fantastic awards.
Mared won the Professionals award recognising all her amazing achievements.
Mared runs our One Planet project which has supported over 500 individuals with learning disabilities and additional support needs into learning and volunteering in themes surrounding climate change and our environmental impact.
She really has been incredible, going above and beyond in everything she does, with every person she supports. She’s also made some wonderful positive connections with organisations all over Cardiff.
We are so happy to see Mared’s work recognised.
