What to expect from your induction

Starting a new job can be exciting and overwhelming. We are invested in your success and are here for you every step of the way.

Innovate Trust’s induction is a programme designed to meet the Social Care Wales Framework requirements for support roles and Innovate Trust’s 8-month probation period for all employees.

Your induction is a record of your development, which supports evidence of your achievements.

We realise that your induction can be overwhelming. Our induction process is designed to help you become confident and competent within your role, no matter your level of experience.

Our Digital Platform gives you access to all your induction materials so that you can review your induction documents whenever you need them.

I was impressed with the comprehensive training and induction. It gave me confidence that I would be well suited to this job.

The induction process within Innovate Trust is very good and effective. When I started, we had a ‘meet and greet’ process.

[It was] a chance to get to know the people I was going to be supporting, meet the team, and familiarise myself with the home setting. I found that really useful.

We keep up to date with all our training needed to fulfil our job role. I find it especially useful and effective to have training online.

I like how it keeps me updated, lets you know when you need to do a refresher course, and I find it more effective than class style training.

It is also a lot more convenient to be able to do training in your own time, as and when you can. Doing shift work means your spare time can be irregular.
