Disability Confident Employers

We are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered.

That is why we are proud to be accredited as a Disability Confident employer.

What is Disability Confident?

The Disability Confident scheme aims to help employers make the most of the opportunities provided by employing disabled people.

It is voluntary and has been developed by employers and disabled people’s representatives.

Disability Confident is creating a movement of change, encouraging employers to think differently about disability and take action to improve how they recruit, retain and develop disabled people.

The Disability Confident scheme has 3 levels that have been designed to support organisations on a Disability Confident journey.

Employers must complete each level before moving on to the next. At Innovate Trust, we are a Level 2 Disability Confident employer.

What does a Disability Confident employer do?

A Disability Confident employer:

  • Challenges attitudes
  • Increases understanding of disability
  • Removes barriers for disabled people or people with long-term health conditions
  • Supports disabled people to fulfil their potential.
